What do you specialize in and what do you like most about your career?

I specialize in Modern Men's Grooming and I love that I get to connect with people on a daily basis. With every client I feel like I'm grabbing a quick coffee with a good friend. I get to help people relax and feel more confident.

Why did you decide to make the move to Sola Salon Studios?

I really wanted the freedom that Sola offers. The freedom to select the best product line for my clients. The freedom to make my own schedule. And the freedom to really connect with my clients on a more personal and friendship based level.

What is your favorite thing about your studio?

Besides the freedom that I have I LOVE my product shelves because I made them myself based on an idea I saw at Restoration Hardware! I'm very proud of myself!

What do your clients think about your studio?

They love it!! They are so much more supportive and loyal now that I am running my own business. They have sent me so many referrals as well... I'm busier that ever.

How has being at Sola changed your life personally and professionally?

A couple weeks ago my husband said to me, "Do you realize that you haven't complained about your job once since you've moved to Sola?!" I thought about it for a while and realized he was right! It's been a very long time since I was genuinely happy and excited to go to work every day. Currently my life is relatively stress-free and I've never been this busy professionally. I have become a lead educator for Andis Company and have travelled across the country for photo shoots and educational events. It's all because of the flexibility I now have with my schedule!

What does being a part of the Sola 5,000 mean to you?

To me it means being a part of an outstanding group of professionals who have had the courage to take a leap of faith and claim their freedom. It's amazing to think that there are over 5,000 of us who have gone through the same struggles, fears and triumphs. I feel like I'm a part of an elite club!
